The Episcopal School of Dallas College Guidance Office maintains one of the smallest student-to-counselor ratios in the city which helps us present an individualized process tailored to the skills, interest, and needs of each of our students. Meetings with students and parents begin in the ninth grade, and span over the entire four-year Upper School experience. From summer application workshops to financial aid and scholarship presentations to college visit trips exclusively for ESD students, we strive to help each student find his or her best college fit. Annual travel to college campuses and membership in professional organizations guarantee that our staff maintains excellent working relationships with the colleges most sought after by our students.
Our philosophy as an office is simple: encourage students to find and explore their strengths and passions. Assist each student in researching colleges to assemble a manageable and realistic list of schools that will meet individual needs academically and extracurricularly. Make this process as transparent as possible, for students and parents. Start early, and finish early, in order to reduce stress and enjoy your senior year.
