FROM THE HEAD OF SCHOOL
To Our ESD Family; To All Parents, Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Friends; To All Leaders on This Journey…
Welcome to another year. Another year of limitless potential and unbridled opportunity. Another year to ask, learn, stumble, change, grow, and inspire. Another year to embrace new and exciting possibilities. Another year to carry forward with our mission of preparing lives of intellectual discovery, integrity, and purpose.
I, for one, am excited for this next year and thrilled to move forward on the journey with you.
There are many things to look forward to. The halls bustling with our incredible students, faculty collaborations and new learning imparted, mentoring sessions where the idea finally “clicks,” gatherings and lively discussions around the fireplace, hearts encouraged and enlightened during chapel, meals to be shared and outdoor exploration to be had.
And there are many things to acknowledge. We continue to commit ourselves to extraordinary standards for the future of The Episcopal School of Dallas. Grounded in our Mission and Founding Tenets, we are continuing to enhance our programs and processes through our strategic plan, ESD Tomorrow. We are making ongoing efforts to refine our teaching techniques to shape minds of inquiry, not just instruction. Knowing we are only as sharp and bright as our faculty and students, our Admissions Office and Recruitment Team are still leading the charge on discovering and inviting the most gifted, innovative, and unique individuals to join our family. And plans are in the works to further develop our campus as one of the premier centers of learning in the nation.
Let me clarify, the goal is not to change the nature of who we are, but to build upon our already exemplary legacy – to further prepare our students to go out from the classroom, reach out to the community, and stand out in an ever-changing world. With all that we have done and all that is to come, I am continuously encouraged to walk alongside this community of leaders with steady hearts, eager minds, and resolute spirits. You inspire me. And I will strive to ensure our school serves as a light of inspiration to others.
