ESD Curriculum Overview
In 1974, a group of Episcopalian Dallas civic leaders met to discuss the beginning stages of a new, coeducational, independent school grounded in the Episcopal educational tradition. Determined to transcend existing academic models, the group envisioned a school community where children could be nurtured in faith and embraced as powerful, well-educated, and decisive individuals. It was this tenacious, pioneering spirit that gave rise to Episcopal School of Dallas and the tradition of excellence that is its hallmark.
By integrating rigorous academic programs, ESD manages the dynamic and challenging educational experience of a child as a college-bound student from Beginners through grade 12. Our curriculum incorporates the founding tenets of daily worship, community, ethical decision making, and service, along with fundamentals such as wellness for life and self-discovery, into academics in order to develop the educated conscience of each student.
