Who we are:

We are ESD dads … just like you. The Partnership Board consists of 20 Board members and more than 350 ESD volunteer dads (partners) that,  like you, are committed to being involved in all areas of our school by volunteering or joining in on activities with your children. We organize and arrange activities all year long on a weekly, monthly or annual basis at all grade levels to allow dads a way to get plugged in!

Our Mission Statement:

To promote activities involving dads and children in all grade levels while being an inclusive organization dedicated to honoring God by fostering positive relationships with our children, the ESD community, and the community at large.

How do I sign up?

Below are the activities we support and the Board members who are here to help you (and your student) get involved.

All Grades Dads' Partnership Breakfast

Middle and Upper School Events

Dads' Partnership Breakfast: Once a year all dads, all grades (B-12) are invited to a breakfast at the Upper School for a well run program with presentations from school officials, the Dads’ Partnership and a tremendous guest speaker. An old tradition that all dads attend or volunteer to help.
**Our 2014 fall speaker will be Jerry Jones Jr. with some wisdom on the Partnership, Dallas Cowboys and a presentation of his choosing.**

New Dads/Parent Dinners: Once a year dads volunteer and attend a “meet and greet” to welcome and support new dads/parents to ESD and pass along a little wisdom and enjoy a good meal together. This is well attended and very helpful to new parents.

Salvation Army 8th -12th graders: About six times each year dads and students volunteer side by side at the Salvation Army for an evening of community service, feeding the homeless and helping to change peoples’ lives. Come once or come to all. Show your child the way we give back to others at ESD and to the community. This has become very popular and there are usually 20 to 30 dads and students there each time. Students also receive three community service hours.

Bowling Night for 5th and 6th Graders: This one is just for fun and a good time is had by all!  Once a year dads and children enjoy a night of friendly competition bowling with your child’s friends and their dads. It is a requirement that dad’s inner child must show up for entertainment value! Just hang out and have fun together.

Dads Serve Breakfast: Every day different dads come with their children early to school and help check out their children’s friends that come to breakfast that day. We have dads volunteering every day! This is one of our most popular events with the flexibility of dads schedule and a great way to get to know your child’s friends better.

Dads Eat Breakfast with Childs Entire Class: This event is fun for all and you get the chance to meet the dads in your students grade level. We will email you when your child’s class is designated to have breakfast with dad before school and you just show up. Each class will do this once a year (but you are always welcome to come to school early and eat breakfast with your child any day).

Dads Grill at Sporting Events: If you are a grill-master or not, this is fun! Dads and kids volunteer to help at all football games and various sporting events throughout the year. Grill camp jokes are a must and hundreds of burgers and dogs make their way to the ESD fans.

Internships for ESD juniors and seniors with “ESDWORX”: This is a new and very important program sponsored by the Partnership. We are committed to providing summer internships for our rising seniors within the ESD community. If you or your company is interested in providing a summer internship to an ESD rising senior please let us know and we will provide you with the additional information. Helping ESD students find their passion in the workplace is a priority!
