Allison Hogan, ESD's Primer teacher, has been accepted to the NAIS 20/20 Challenge. The 20/20 Challenge pairs classes from schools all across the U.S. with counterpart courses in other parts of the world as the students work together to tackle global problems and develop real-world solutions. Hogan's class will partner with Primer students from the Bullis School in Maryland and Starlight Academy in Kenya to focus on education for children of all ages. The solutions the students develop will be implemented at the local, national, and international levels.

Hogan spent this past summer in Kenya as part of the Students Shoulder-to-Shoulder organization and witnessed first-hand the impact of cross-cultural education, especially the bond students can form between one another when working together on a project.
