Alumni Art Show

Celebrating 50 Years of Art at ESD

We are excited to announce ESD's commemorative 50th-anniversary Alumni Art Show to celebrate and highlight our talented community of alumni artists! The Alumni Art Show will kick off on Friday, September 20, 2024, with a special Alumni Preview Opening and run through Friday, December 6, 2024.

Interested in featuring your artwork in the upcoming show? View the guidelines and specifications for the show below and share your interest with us to participate through the Artist Acceptance Form. 

The call for entries to participate in the show will close on Friday, May 31, 2024. Key dates for the show are shared below:

May 31 - Deadline to submit the online Artist Acceptance Form 
July 1 - Artist statements must be submitted to Dane Larsen 
August 5 - 9 - Delivery of shipped artwork to ESD
August 12 - Receiving of hand-delivered art to the Frank Center, Eagle Gallery
September 20 - Alumni Preview Opening

Guidelines & Specifications

  • Artwork must be from the last five years;
  • Entries may include works on paper, canvas, photography, digital images, fashion design, graphic design, collage, mixed media, as well as sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, maquettes and architectural models; 
  • Only one work of art from each artist may be submitted;
  • 2-dimensional works on paper must be prepared for hanging. Works can be matted, backed and covered with acetate, or framed with plexiglass. No framed works with glass will be accepted;
  • Works on canvas must be framed, strip framed, or the edges painted in a presentable way and must have screw eyes and wire attached, no saw tooth hangers;
  • Complicated installations will be the responsibility of the artist and prior arrangements made with Dane Larsen;
  • All work must be manageable and not require the use of special equipment to be handled;
  • Maximum size:  7’ H x 6’ W;
  • And, content should be appropriate for students.

Yes, I would like to participate in ESD's Alumni Art Show, and I agree to its guidelines and specifications. In doing so, I understand that the insurance of my artwork is my responsibility and that The Episcopal School of Dallas has the right to refuse any art they deem inappropriate. I also understand that my art must stay in the exhibit during the duration of the show and cannot be removed during the duration of the show.
